Gábor Forrai MD PhD graduated in Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest, Hungary. He has been staff radiologist for 10 years in the National Institute of Oncology, Hungary (1987-1996), Assistant Professor and Head of Department in Haynal Imre Postgraduate Education University, Budapest (1998-2007), Head of Dept. Radiology, Military Hospital/State Health Center/Teachning hospital Univ. Semmelweis (2007-2014), actually Head of Department of Radiology of Duna Medical Center, Budapest, Hungary and leader of Breast Screening Centers in Vác and Eger County Hospitals. He is Forensic Medical Expert Radiologist, certified in 2015.
He has gained foreign experiences in Köln, Nürnberg, Erlangen, Germany (1990), Rehovot, Israel (1998), Nottingham, UK (1999), Düsseldorf University, Germany (1993-1994) and as staff radiologist in Hopital Tenon, Paris, France (1994-1995).

He is an experienced lecturer (278 presentations) in French, English and Hungarian languages. He is editor of 6 books, published 2 books, 30 book chapters, 24 full articles, 56 scientific congress abstracts. His PhD thesis was prepared on the subjects: breast core biopsy and breast MRI.
G. Forrai has been president and organizer of several national and international courses and congresses as French-Hungarian Radiology Symposia (yearly since 2001), Central European PACS School, Central European eHealth Academy, EUSOBI Schools and ESOR events.

Gábor Forrai is the current President of EUSOBI, Chair of Breast Subcommittee of European Congress of Radiology 2014, Secretary General of the Hungarian Section of Breast Diagnostics of the Hungarian Radiological Society, Editorial Advisory Board Member of AuntMinnieEurope.com and Hungarian Radiology, as well as reviewer in scientific journals. He was Vice-President of the French-speaking Radiology Educators’ Society (GREF). His activities in the French- Hungarian scientific cooperation was recognized by the French Republic by awarding him Knight of National Order of Merit (2012).
